Kültür Sokağı’nın içerisinde keşfedilmeye değer birçok mekânla karşılaşabilir, kitap okuyabilir, çeşitli atölyelere katılabilir, sergileri ziyaret edebilirsiniz. Kültürel etkinliklerin yanı sıra keyifli bir vakit geçirme alanı yaratan Kültür Sokağı’nda, Çocuk Sanat Merkezi, Kütüphane, Müzik Platformu ve Ustalara Saygı Köşesi yer alıyor. Bu sokak, yolu Taksim’e çıkan herkes için ortak bir kültür noktası olma özelliği taşıyor.

The common name of the wind instruments from Anatolia to Asia. It is the main instrument in Anatolian sufi music. The origin of the word goes back to 3000 BC, when it was ‘na’ and ‘ti-gi’. In a painting from the late 10th century, which was discovered in the region of İdikut (China, Uigur, Turfan areas), there are some musicians who play the flute and a vertical wind instrument. Nay is a Persian word meaning ‘cane’.

A stringed instrument identified with Turkish folk music, which can be traced back to the kopuz in Turkish music. Pictures relating to the bağlama could be seen in the Sumerian civilization in Anatolia and the Hittites stringed instrument with a tassel at the edge of its pegbox.

The name ‘kemençe’ (kemançe) has been given to various stringed instruments over the centuries, just like the tanbur. There is no drop-shaped kemençe as played today in any of the extant Turkish sources until a painting of a similar instrument was encountered in the Violinist Hizir Aga (Kemani Hızır Ağa) manuscript from the 18th century Ottoman Period.
