The main component of AKM's façade facing the Taksim Square is the Opera Hall, a huge globe covered with 15 thousands ceramic pieces.

There is a specialized library which has been specially set within the body of Atatürk Cultural Centre to focus on Music, Arts, Architecture and Design. With its rich collection, the library composes an important space for university students who want to conduct research.
680 square meter unit, with a total book display area of 1074m /tul linear meter, is arranged as 2 main floors; two mezzanine floors surrounded with bookshelves, and a study floor. There are large shelves for books on the ground floor as well, besides the desks for the reading room.
Without getting away from the understanding of the entire project, use of wood is strongly preferred as it's been almost a symbol of classical libraries. A modern but warm library environment is created by emphasizing the criteria for exhibition of books, acoustic and lighting comfort.
Closed only on Mondays, AKM Library serves on the other days of the week between the hours 10.00-17.00.

Vitali Hakko Creative Industries Library, which has been opened to the public as the most up-to-date and comprehensive art library in Turkey, opens new horizons for academicians, university students, artists, art enthusiasts, and tourists visiting Turkey from various countries with constantly updated printed, digital and visual archives including 15,000 books with special editions of the world's most prestigious publishing houses along with signed copies specific to the library.
