"The Violin's Orpheus" (Diaposan d'or and 2023 Abbiati Critics' Award Winning Album) - Accademia Bizantina Turns 40!
Concerto Grosso - Three Great Composers: Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Friedrich Handel, Francesco Geminiani
"The Violin's Orpheus" offers a unique perspective on the concerto grosso, the 18th century's most important musical form, through a program consisting of concerti grossi by three of the period's great composers; Arcangelo Corelli, known as the master of the concerto grosso style in Italy, a founder of the Italian violin school, and considered the father of violin sonatas, Georg Friedrich Handel, and Francesco Geminiani. In this special concert, Accademia Bizantina will perform for the first time in Türkiye the award-winning album "The Violin's Orpheus", which was published in 6 volumes in 2023 and was immediately awarded the prestigious Diaposan d'or and the 2023 Abbiati Critics' Award upon its first volume release.
