Ayşe is a young woman who runs away from her family home in İzmir and comes to İstanbul to become an "artist", hoping to earn some easy money. Haşmet İbriktaroğlu, however, is an old İstanbulite gentleman who decides to become a street photographer after spending all his family havings. The movie takes their encounter as the starting point on which to build the Alla Turca-Alla Franga (Eastern-Western) conflict. The film's scenario is written by Safa Önal and Ayşe Şasa, while Atıf Yılmaz is on the director's seat. Sadri Alışık (İbrahim) and Ayla Algan (Ayşe) are the stars of the production. The film's cinematography is by Gani Turanlı, and its music is by Metin Bükey. The film, which manifests the eastern-western split in Turkey, places Turkish Music at the heart of this cultural conflict.
