The Fire of Anatolia continues to burn!

The fundamental concept of Fire of Anatolia is the meeting of civilizations. It is a dance portrait that aims to bring together Eastern and Western cultures, conveying universal messages of peace. By synthesizing folk dances with ballet, modern dance, and other disciplines of dance, it presents a show of modern standards, a cultural feast to the world. Originating from the mythological and cultural history of Anatolia, which spans thousands of years, Fire of Anatolia is a unique project that encompasses around 3000 folk dance figures and folk music compiled from nearly every region. The project, bearing the signature of Mustafa Erdoğan, aims to introduce the peace-blended fire of Anatolia's thousands of years of culture and history to the whole world.

In 1999, Mustafa Erdoğan took the first step to realize a dream that dated back years and initiated the intensive work of the project, formerly known as Sultans of the Dance. Advertisements for "dancers wanted" were placed in newspapers. Out of 750 candidates, 90 young people were selected, and a rigorous work schedule lasting a year and a half began. The work involved up to 8, sometimes 16 hours a day... Costumes were prepared, music was completed. Aesthetic exercises were performed, and the team worked with dieticians and massage experts. Stretching and yoga were done. The work focused intensively on folk dance steps, ballet, and modern dance. The dancers received theoretical lessons on the notation of Anatolian rhythms.

And on May 3, 2001, for 3-4 shows, the decision was made to extend the program in Turkey due to the tickets being sold out months in advance, even though the show was initially planned to be performed abroad. Fire of Anatolia started its world tour in 2002, performing in 106 countries (many of which have been visited multiple times) with over 5000 shows, watched by more than 47 million art lovers. With its international tours and promotional activities to date, Fire of Anatolia is recognized among the world's leading dance groups, representing a magnificent project that reaches the universal with the power of our national culture. The group has performed at the world's most important centers such as New York's Madison Square Garden, Chicago Theater, Bercy in France, the People's Parliament Building in China, Kremlin Palace in Moscow, the historic Muhammad Ali Mosque and in front of the Pyramids in Egypt, and has been applauded by country leaders including presidents, prime ministers, and kings.
