Yavuz Bingöl will be performing his most popular songs from his albums, which have now become classics, accompanied by an orchestra.
With 'Beautiful Tango,' Moroccan-born French musician Hindi Zahra cemented her spot as a world performer on the music charts. Berberi folk music combines songs from its musical treasury, which dates from the Middle Ages to the present, with a fairytale interpretation for its listeners. Zahra mixes world music and ethnic jazz to tell stories about her journey in the spirit of a traveler through a variety of tunes. Hindi Zahra spends time in Marrakech for her musical studies, reimagining fairytale melodies with jazz, Flamenco, and Western instruments, and releasing one-of-a-kind albums. The artist, who comes from a nomadic family, frequently highlights her childhood spent on the road as her main source of inspiration.
Şefika Kutluer will be taking the stage on the second day of the festival on November 12, Friday. The artist who is commonly nicknamed “the Magical Flute” and has made a distinguished name for herself not only in Türkiye but across the world, will be performing a very special repertoire in her concert in AKM.
Following Şefika Kutluer, Le Trio Joubran will be taking to the stage. Le Trio Joubran, a group that consists of Samir, Wissam and Adnan Joubran brothers from Palestine, perform Palestinian traditional oud music. Known thanks to the news speaking very well of them, Jourban brothers play their instruments in a marvelous way that sounds as if they gave one single sound. Shown as some of the most skillful virtuosos of oud and Arabic lute, they describe their instruments as the sound of their souls and the beating heart of their bodies. Le Trio Jourdan, who have performed in several concert halls from Paris’s Olympia to New York’s Carnegie Hall, will be meeting their audience on the second day of the festival.
Hacı Bektaş Veli, whom UNESCO honoured by declaring this year as a commemoration year, and Yunus Emre, another important name from Anatolian culture, will be brought to the stage at 6pm with this special concert. In this concert called “Bir Ses Yunus Bir Nefes Hacı Bektaş” (lit. Yunus' Voice, Hacı Beştaş''s Word), Yavuz Bingöl will share the stage with Sabahat Akkiraz, Sibel Can and Kubat. Songs, which thematically deal with Hacı Bektaş Veli and Yunus Emre’s lines for the very first time, will be performed in this concert.
