Concert
Born in different continents centuries ago and have become valuable representatives of their own music world, piano and kanun (qanun) are here with new musical languages developed by contemporary techniques of the 21st century. A unique repertoire, which was included in the album "New Music for Kanun & Piano", commissioned by "Kanun Piano Duo" and contributed by contemporary Turkish composers with their adaptations and original works, is waiting for you. In addition to this original repertoire, Çetin Işıközlü's Serenades for solo Kanun and solo Piano, Marcus Siqueira's piece inspired by the folk song "Along the Mulberry Tree" (Dut Ağacı Boyunca), and Soviet-era Armenian composer Khachatur Avetisyan's Kanun Concerto No.2 are also included in the programme.
Esra Berkman, Kanun
