2nd Ceren Necipoğlu Istanbul International Harp Festival – Closing Gala
Art enthusiasts will witness the grand finale of the festival, which began with solo harp and chamber music competitions held between January 15-19, 2025, at the Atatürk Cultural Center. During this special evening, the winners from two different age categories will receive their awards, and selected pieces from the competition repertoire will be performed by young musicians.
A Journey Through Anatolian Melodies with Arpanatolia The closing gala invites music lovers to an enchanting performance by the internationally renowned Arpanatolia. Reviving the ancient musical traditions of Anatolia, Arpanatolia blends the magical harmony of the lyre, harp, wind, and percussion instruments, offering an unforgettable visual and auditory feast.

The festival draws inspiration from the unforgettable harpist Ceren Necipoğlu, whose words resonate with the theme of the evening: “Anatolian lands are rich in cultural heritage, embracing diverse traditions. Arpanatolia Ensemble
• Çağatay Akyol: As Turkey’s first male harpist and the principal harpist of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, he brings the magic of the harp to Anatolian melodies.
• Ferhat Erdem: A master of the traditional Anatolian wind instruments sipsi and kaval, Erdem merges these sounds with modern musical interpretations.
• Cemal Özkızıltaş: One of the leading names in authentic percussion art, Özkızıltaş captivates audiences with his rhythmic energy and mastery.
