Hunchbacked court jester Rigoletto hides his only treasure in life, his daughter Gilda, from everyone. Gilda falls in love with the womanizing Duke of Mantua. Seizing the opportunity, the duke seduces Gilda. Rigoletto cannot accept this and decides to take revenge. Gilda sacrifices herself to save the life of her lover and dies in the arms of her father, who had resolved to kill the duke.
Soloists, orchestra, and chorus of the Mersin State Opera and Ballet will jointly perform the work. The orchestra conductor is Rustam Rahmedov, direction is by Kenan Korbek, and the choir conductor is Anıl Aydın. The set and costume design are by Özlem Topuz, choreography by Berna Turhan İleri, and lighting design by Tarı Deniz.
