Theatre
The play "La Claque" is written by French author Fred Radix, directed by Çağlar Çorumlu, and stars Çağlar Çorumlu in the lead role. It is staged by TiyatrOPS, with the translation of Gülce Ünlü and the project consultancy of Emrah Eren.
The year is 1895. It is a time when Paris theaters achieve success thanks to the claque, who are responsible for applauding at the right time by blending in with the audience.
Auguste Levasseur, the famous claque chief, is abandoned by his claque team two hours before the opening night of the musical tragedy "The Adventure of the Osprey." With the help of his assistant Dugommier, they have to rehearse the five-act, forty-scene production two hours before the premiere with the amateur claques he found from all over. With the participation of Dugommier's musician sister Fauvette, they are in a hurry to save the applause order for the evening's performance with this frantic rehearsal.
The funny situations that the three people on stage fall into in their efforts to show the big production of the evening to the claques in any way, turn into a musical and humorous adventure with the participation of the audience.
"As you know, the impossible is not in our dictionary."
